CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Western and Chinese tungsten markets have split, and the gap is now a cost that anyone financing, contracting for, or stockpiling the metal must price in. On Oct. 26, 2026, Rotterdam warehouse ammonium paratungstate (APT) traded at $278.22 per kilogram, 3.74 times China ex-works APT at $74.43, against an average multiple of 1.24 from September 2021 to June 2025, according to a new MetalMiner white paper.

The paper, "Tungsten Resilience Intelligence: Integrating Structural Supply Insight with Global Market-Price Signals," comes ahead of Jan. 1, 2027, when U.S. defense-procurement restrictions on covered China-sourced tungsten take effect.
